My First Year at Many Point Scout Camp

At my first year at Many Point we did alot of things. All the
people in my patrol were there: Joey T., Kevin W., John P., Matt P., Tom B., Baird C.,
Ryan L. and me.
I had a fun time at Many Point. One day our troop did sailing and
did our Super Troop project. We also did a canoe trip that was canceled due to
white-caps. We climbed on the climbing wall. At the range we shot 22's, threw
tomahawks, shot sling-shots and did archery. Another day we went on the fire tower,
history center and did ethics in action. We went swimming everyday. Our patrol
didn't like the oatmeal at all. We also went horseback riding. Kevin W. and I
got the Best Tent Award. Everyone had fun.
During Many Point Camp, I got my Environmental Science Merit Badge. I slept overnight in a shelter I made from tarps. This was a requirement for Wilderness Survival Merit Badge. I made a camp gadget which was a tripod. I took the basic skills. I was in the Ironman and Polar Bear, but did not get credit for the Polar Bear because I was told that it was suppose to be done by the troop. I earned my Snorkeling BSA and Totin' Chip.
I look forward to going to Many Point next year.
